Claim Submission Guidelines

1. Item Preservation

Do not discard claimed items.

  • Retain original shipping containers
  • Preserve all potentially damaged goods for inspection

2. Inspection Protocol

Do not repair damaged items.

  • Moving company/insurance reserves right to inspect prior to repair authorization
  • Premature repairs may invalidate claim

3. Detailed Claim Documentation

Provide comprehensive item details:

  • Inventory number
  • Item name
  • Brand name
  • Model number
  • Damage description
  • Estimated weight
  • Original cost
  • Acquisition date
  • Pre-move value

Caution: Limited liability applies to electrical, mechanical, and electronic items

4. Missing Items Claim Process

  • List container contents completely
  • Include approximate weight
  • Document acquisition date
  • Specify value
  • Designate inventory number
  • Identify container type

5. Required Documentation

  • Retain Bill of Lading copies
  • Prepare proof of paid moving charges
  • Note: Claims cannot be processed until shipping charges are fully paid

6. Time-Sensitive Filing Limits

  • Automobile Claims: 10 days from delivery
  • Interstate Moves: 9 months from delivery
  • Intrastate Moves: 90 days from delivery
